We headed back to Tennessee to capture this phenomenal outdoor wedding. Jordan and Brooke’s wedding happened on September 23, 2017 at the GORGEOUS Front Porch Farms near Nashville, Tennessee. It was a warm day, with the sun shining bright, which made for some fabulous photos.
Dress: Chrislyn’s
Florist: Carl’s Flowers
Venue: Front Porch Farms
Cake: Megalicious Cakes
The day started with Brooke getting ready in the cutest bridal suite near the reception site. Michelle did a fabulous job of capturing some wonderful details like the dress, the hair, and Brooke’s mom helping her get into her GORGEOUS dress!
I got to hang out with the groomsmen and take some photos of Jordan getting ready. Groomsmen are some of the most fun people at weddings, you see the happiness, nervousness, and realization on the groom’s face as it slowly sets in that it’s THE wedding day he had been waiting on for so long!
After Jordan and Brooke were ready, we hid Jordan away at the house, and Michelle and I headed over to the bridal suite where Brooke was going to do a first look with her dad! As I was walking her father over he said, “I’m not sure I’m going to be able to do this…” (referring to being able to see her without crying). But, he did great! Once he saw Brooke he had the biggest smile on his face and you could tell how proud he was of his beautiful daughter!
Then it was time for the first look between Jordan and Brooke! Jordan was SO nervous and he was getting emotional just standing there waiting before Brooke came out. It was a beautiful location and LOTS of laughs and hugs were shared!
After giving them both a few minutes to relax, talk, and soak in the excitement of their wedding day, we went on to out favorite part! PORTRAITS! We hope you all love them as much as we do. They turned out STUNNINGLY.
After portraits and family pictures, everyone hurried into the house as guests started to arrive! Then it was time for one of the most beautiful, emotional, wedding ceremonies we have seen.
The look on Jordan’s face is one of pure emotion as his bride was walking down the aisle.
Brooke and Jordan looked SO happy after officially being pronounced husband and wife! Right after the wedding there was some time for the guests to mingle and get some tea or lemonade and appetizers! Let’s just admire these remarkable flowers by Carl’s Flowers in Dickson, TN. Also, these elegant table arrangements (that they made on their own!!!) can I just say WOW? And they even had a S’MORES BAR! YUM!
The reception was SO FUN! It was full of photos, dancing, cornhole, and cake! Jordan and Brooke looked so overjoyed during their first dance, and there were lots of smiles and a few tears shed by their parents.
There was a change of plans in the father-daughter dance when Brooke and her dad switched from a nice slow dance to “Juju On That Beat” in the middle of the song, and it was so funny!
After we asked her dad how they decided on that song choice, he said “We figured we might as well have laughs instead of tears.” And that is EXACTLY what happened! The rest of the reception was lots of fun with the bouquet toss, garter toss, cake, and s’mores roasting.
One of the things we like to do before the end of the night is to have the bride and groom stand alone in the reception area and reflect on the day. We snap a photo so they can remember how happy and loved they felt at the end of their wedding day. We also LOVE how the exit photos turn out when there are sparklers!
Jordan and Brooke, thanks again for letting us capture one of the biggest days of your life! We are so thankful that you trusted us with that responsibility. We loved hanging out with both of you and your families that were so hospitable and kind to us! May you both have a happy and blessed marriage and feel free to come out to Colorado to visit us! — Victor & Michelle
